OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST

Project Summary:

The “Promoting Sustainable Tourism in Mongolia through UNESCO Cultural and Geo Heritage” project aims to strengthen inclusive, community-based sustainable tourism models using Mongolia’s rich natural, geological, and cultural assets. The project includes field-based coordination in pilot sites such as Khanbogd, requiring close engagement with local authorities, communities, herder groups, mines, tourism operators, and UNESCO’s national partners. Within this framework, the Local Coordination Support Assistant will provide on-site logistical, coordination, communication, and linguistic support to ensure smooth implementation of field activities in Khanbogd and surrounding areas.
