OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST
UNESCO Dhaka is looking for a creative and dynamic Junior Consultant for Visual Storytelling to support its Communications and Public Engagement (CPE) team. The consultant will work under the Head of CPE, creating engaging visual content for social media, websites, publications, and campaigns. With expertise in graphic design, animation, photography, audiovisual production, and creative communication, the consultant will assist promote UNESCO’s mission in Bangladesh across education, culture, communication, and science. The role involves close collaboration with program teams to produce infographics, presentations, and promotional materials that effectively communicate UNESCO Dhaka's initiatives.

DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist to create engaging visual stories for social media, website, and other digital platforms. These include designing graphics, illustrations, images, videos, animations, infographics, presentations, photo stories, motion graphics, case studies and more, ensuring they align with UNESCO’s messages and brand identity.
- Assist in designing various publications and promotional materials, such as Biennium Reports, project briefs, fact sheets, posters, coffee table books, brochures etc. with original and creative designs.
- Assist in organizing and streaming podcast
- Provide basic photography and video production support for social media and website content.
- Perform other duties within the scope of CPE as assigned by the supervisor as needed for organizational requirements.
COMPETENCIES (Core / Managerial)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, Multimedia Arts, or a related field.
- 2 years of professional experience including some graphic design or visual storytelling, with a strong portfolio showing diverse work (e.g., print design, graphics, photo stories, motion graphics, animation, digital/UI, video).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects) and experience with animation software.
- Basic skills in photography, filming, and video editing.
- Creativity and ability to turn complex information into visually compelling graphics and animations.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to collaborate and learn with multidisciplinary teams.
